Kim Owning Blades Hair Studios in the 80s . 

Kim was very blessed, she had a mother who taught her to validate herself. For her not realizing she had this syndrome full of anxiety and self doubt. She was able to put on a front especially running her two businesses in the 80s. When coming home that's where all her anxiety came flooding out she was releasing her pent up emotions.  There were things she was picking up on, it was overwhelming.  When first arriving home it all came pouring out blah, blah, blah, she couldn't stop talking, her husband called it verbal diarrhea. Then on the phone to her mother repeating it all over again and sometimes to her brother as well. Making molehills into mountains, she had no idea she was autistic, on top of that, an empath. How did she survive? She was masking and didn't take drugs and only drank when socializing, this was accepted in society. At her job being creative and highly focused on something she loved, her hairstyling, being with her clients making them look good and chatting. We know this to be true. When we are with the right energy plucking into a higher frequency oxytocin is released, this why Kim built her Secret Garden Studio at the back of their home in 2007. When the pandemic came along she changed it into her healing room as well more into here   

There were the things she didn't like, staff meetings was one of them or having to take a hairstylist aside to talk to them. The reason she could feel what they were feeling, my goodness all this stuff coming at her.  As well that client who is negative she will tell you about three of them there ere more than that dealing with the public.  Kim always putting a smile on her face and introduced herself to the client. The first thing that came out of this woman's  mouth "I have been everywhere and no one has been able to do my hair how I like it". Kim still with a smile she wasn't going down to her level.  Let me look at your hair and this is why she wanted to have consultations before the client's hair was washed and styled. She also had hairstyling books in her studio this way it was easier to understand what the clients were looking for. The style she wanted was a completely different texture than this lady's hair. In the end she picked a style for the client's hair type,  she seemed ok with it.  As you know with negative people they want you to go down to their level, they are not happy. All the way through Kim's styling her hair with small talk telling her she had nice hair because she did. Kept the conversation positive she knew she wouldn't see her again. This client wanted someone to go down to her level that wasn't happening it was too draining. If she had a lot of stress that day also from the staff this is where she needed to release all of this when getting home.

Another time a new client sitting in her styling chair she was quite indignant when she saw Kim was a female.  This clients words; "Oh I thought the owner would be a male" Kim's reply I can get one of the male stylist do your hair, and her reply: "no it was ok". She was happy with her hair and some clients like a male hairstylist, that's ok we all have our preferences.  Another time a woman had made her appointment with Kim and had booked for a perm. When opening her studios and coming from Britain  she wanted to be able to have consultations before the client's hair was washed.  Looking at this client's hair there was no way, she had bleached hair, it would have been a terrible frizzy mess and breakage .  You have to be very careful you are not going to be sued. Well when Kim said she couldn't perm her hair this woman was outraged started shouting call her names. saying she wasn't a professional. Of course all the staff and clients are looking. Kim very calm, she was masking: firmly said do you understand  I did it to protect you, this isn't about money this is my reputation.   She was booked out for 2 hours for perms and colours and said be thankful I did this for you. Yes she raised her voice trying to get through to this woman.

As she got older and this was after her son was born listening to motivational tapes like Tony Robbins, Louise Hays and Jack Canfield, they were some others as well then C.Ds came out.  She did go through a lot of anxiety trying to understand herself and other people, especially when her mum passed.  It wasn't easy at the time and that's when John Holland the psychic  came into her life she had already learned Reiki..
